Start from the closed cube, open one corner and let the magnets lead — never force a piece. Our step-by-step first-fold guide covers the crown, the star and the way back to the box.
Every Shashibo — DODECA, OCTA and ICOSA XL — connects with the others through its outer magnets, so this one will join any cube you already own.
Disco Plaid is the party animal of the Jumbie Series. It takes a classic plaid and gives it a dance-floor twist, so every fold lines the stripes up into a fresh groove. Spin it into a star, a step-like tower or a flat panel and the pattern rearranges itself like a new song starting on the speakers.
Thirty-six ultra strong magnets keep each shape steady and let it link with any Shashibo, including its Jumbie siblings Chameleon, Cosmic Surfer and Fire Goddess. It is a cheerful gift for teens with a sense of humor and a fun desk fidget for adults who like a little color at work. Ages 8 and up, no screen required.
Disco Plaid is the comedian of the Jumbie Series. Fire Goddess is fierce, Chameleon colorful and animal-led, Cosmic Surfer laid-back; Disco Plaid mashes a classic plaid with dance-floor flash. White & Black from the Original Series is the other strongly patterned cube at the same price, but it is minimal where Disco Plaid is loud and funky. Pick it for the friend who never takes a fidget too seriously.
It suits teens with a sense of humor — a funky, never-too-serious design with no screen required. It is rated for ages 8 and up and fits a pocket at about 2.4 inches closed.
The stripes give strong lines to follow, so you can often see how panels line up as you fold. The cube itself is the standard DODECA: 12 pieces, 36 magnets, opening on two of its eight corners.
Chameleon, Cosmic Surfer and Fire Goddess. With all four, the outer magnets let you link them into towers, rhombic structures or a big star sculpture — the whole Jumbie crew in one build.
