Start from the closed cube, open one corner and let the magnets lead — never force a piece. Our step-by-step first-fold guide covers the crown, the star and the way back to the box.
Every Shashibo — DODECA, OCTA and ICOSA XL — connects with the others through its outer magnets, so this one will join any cube you already own.
One Shashibo is a puzzle; four is a project. This box gathers four DODECA cubes so a whole household can twist at once, or one ambitious builder can link them into towers, rings and shapes no single cube can reach. Gifting is easy too — keep one, hand out the rest, and everyone ends up comparing their favorite folds.
Every cube in the set holds thirty-six ultra strong magnets and transforms into more than a hundred shapes on its own. Together they multiply the options, which keeps the challenge fresh for older kids and adults. The play stays silent, so it fits a classroom corner or an office break room as comfortably as a living room floor.
Shashibo DODECA — Box of 4 is the largest bundle on this shelf, and it costs a little more than either Shashibo Explorer Series — 4 Pack. The Explorer packs tie their four cubes together with one themed artwork, while this box is about quantity for a household or classroom. If two players are enough, Shashibo DODECA — 2 Pack is the smaller, less expensive step. Four cubes also opens up the official combos that need several Shashibos, like four Stars joined into one large hexagonal sculpture.

Took my grandkids (2 boys ages 6 and 10) to a toy store when they visited from the West Coast. They picked out other nice toys, while I was drawn to the Shashibo puzzle cubes and bought 2 for myself. During the visit they played more and more with the Shashibos. As they were leaving to go to the airport, I asked if they would each like one and they beamed and took them home! Honestly, this is such a great item — it’s a puzzle and also a satisfying lesson in geometry for young and old minds. It’s satisfying to hear the magnets ‘click’ as you manipulate it into different shapes. After the grandkids “took” my Shashibos, I ordered the Collectors Edition of four cubes for myself — my wife even approved my purchase after seeing how much fun the boys and I had with them! There are lots of great videos on the internet showing you how Shashibos work — check ‘em out and then go buy one to enjoy!

ShaShiBo happened because my son (15) told me he is bored with all of his Rubik's cubes. He is a pretty cool young man with a good head on his shoulders. He was the type of little kid that his dad and I had to keep stimulated when he was younger, otherwise he would get bored. He has been in the gifted program at school since1st grade, so he's always been the "figure out how everything works" type of person. He's very inquisitive to say the least! Well, ShaShiBo appeared on the side of my laptop as an advertisement. Found out I could buy it from Barnes & Noble and picked up the only one they had for $25. Asked my "artsy" daughter (20) to check it out and tell me her thoughts. Not only did she like it, but she said her brother is going to love it. So bought him the box of 4 for Christmas and he has been intrigued with it ever since. The shapes and figures you can make with these things are endless. Well, my daughter got a surprise on Christmas too. I saw how she did not want to put it down but did only because it was his Christmas present, so bought 3 for her too. She loves them too. Ended up buying one more for her because you just need four ... can't explain it, you just do! And it doesn't end there, I bought four more because I was looking for a nice conversation piece to put on the kitchen table and the shapes my husband comes up with is absolutely amazing! They look like they belong in a museum. (Especially when we combine all 12!) Hit the "place order button" on ShaShiBo. It's so worth it!

Grandson loved it!
The brand shows Stars combining into large star sculptures, three or four cubes forming big rhombic towers, and four Stars making a large hexagonal sculpture.
Yes. Four DODECA cubes cover a small group, play is silent, and the official age is 8 and up. Each cube works on its own or connected to the others.
The Explorer packs bundle cubes from one themed series. This Box of 4 is a general four-cube DODECA set and is priced a little higher.
