Start from the closed cube, open one corner and let the magnets lead — never force a piece. Our step-by-step first-fold guide covers the crown, the star and the way back to the box.
Every Shashibo — DODECA, OCTA and ICOSA XL — connects with the others through its outer magnets, so this one will join any cube you already own.
Moon is the hush of the Explorer Series. Its artwork leans toward soft, lunar tones that feel restful rather than loud, which makes it a favorite for winding down. Unfold it slowly and watch the surface phase from one pattern to the next, a bit like the moon cycling through its own shapes across a month.
Thirty-six strong magnets do the holding, so you can leave a sculpture on the nightstand and it stays put. When you are ready to start again, everything folds back into a compact cube. Moon is suitable for ages 8 and up and works just as well on an office desk. Snap it to Earth for a two-cube pair that tells a little story.
Moon is the softest-colored cube in the Explorer Series. Earth carries land-and-sea color and Undersea goes deep blue, while Moon settles into muted lunar grays that stay calm even mid-fold. Against Polar from the Holographic Series — another cool, pale design at the same price — Moon has no shimmer finish, so it looks the same under any lamp. That makes it the steadier bedside pick; Polar is the one that sparkles.

I bought this magnetic puzzle cube as a gift, and the kid was extremely happy with it! It was a fun, unique gift and kept them entertained. The magnetic pieces make it easy to play with and enjoy. Definitely a great choice if you’re looking for a fun gift for a kid!

Just unboxed today, it arrived while my 5 year old was having a meltdown and couldnt be calmed, I started playing with it next to her and in a few minutes she calmed down to ask 'whats that?' She asked to play with it. Now been playing with it for an hour and a half. Found a shape she decided looked like a spaceship, been playing with that ONE shape for the past 20 mins. I liked playing with it, she obviously likes playing with it. The movement is smooth and the clicks are satisfying, its regulating to see the patterns form and feel it shift. It seems high quality, the stickers are very strong, its heavy for its size, its been dropped multiple times already and seems totally fine. Seems too difficult for my 3 year old, or maybe she just needs to get the hang of it, but shes tried to force the stickers the wrong way a few times and it hasnt broken. Really pretty toy, I got the 'Fire Goddess' cube and the designs go well together. Honestly it was worth the $25 just to calm that meltdown and give us a couple hours of peaceful, regulated play. If it can repeat it itll be worth its weight in gold. And Im sure Ill still enjoy shutting my brain down with it sometimes. Do recommend!

Fun, challenging, relaxing. Strong build. I love it and so does my grandson at 4 years old. Appropriate for all ages.
Many people use it that way. The grays are restful, the folding is silent, and the cube needs no screen or batteries. Finish by closing it back into a cube with the outer pattern as your guide, and it sits neatly on a nightstand.
Yes. Every Shashibo connects through its outer magnets, so Moon and Earth can sit together as a sky-and-ground pair. Add Undersea and you have the full three-cube Explorer set from this shelf.
Follow the official route: open one corner to reach the Crown, open the Crown's closed corner for the Star, then fold the Star's corners inward and connect them for the Ball. The brand's free app shows videos for 70+ shapes.
