Start from the closed cube, open one corner and let the magnets lead — never force a piece. Our step-by-step first-fold guide covers the crown, the star and the way back to the box.
Every Shashibo — DODECA, OCTA and ICOSA XL — connects with the others through its outer magnets, so this one will join any cube you already own.
Infinity is a name that suits a toy built around loops, and the OCTA version puts that idea in the palm of your hand. As the entry point to the Shashibo system, it unfolds into more than 30 shapes, so a new player gets quick wins before tackling anything bigger. Twenty-eight ultra strong magnets hold each face in place while you flip, twist and refold.
Because it needs no batteries and no app, it travels well: a backpack pocket, a glovebox, a desk drawer between meetings. It is recommended for ages 8 and up, so kids and adults can trade it back and forth. Already own an Infinity DODECA or ICOSA? Snap this smaller cousin alongside it and build a matching sculpture that keeps going.
Among the OCTA cubes on this shelf, Infinity is the one built to grow into a set. Shashibo OCTA Atlantis also has DODECA and ICOSA XL twins, but its mood is sunken and watery, while Infinity reads as a looping, endless pattern that looks best when the three sizes sit in a row. Against Shashibo OCTA Primary, which keeps the colors plain for teaching, Infinity is the more decorative pick. Same 28 magnets, same 30-plus shapes, and it costs a little less than its ICOSA XL Infinity sibling.

I bought this magnetic puzzle cube as a gift, and the kid was extremely happy with it! It was a fun, unique gift and kept them entertained. The magnetic pieces make it easy to play with and enjoy. Definitely a great choice if you’re looking for a fun gift for a kid!

Just unboxed today, it arrived while my 5 year old was having a meltdown and couldnt be calmed, I started playing with it next to her and in a few minutes she calmed down to ask 'whats that?' She asked to play with it. Now been playing with it for an hour and a half. Found a shape she decided looked like a spaceship, been playing with that ONE shape for the past 20 mins. I liked playing with it, she obviously likes playing with it. The movement is smooth and the clicks are satisfying, its regulating to see the patterns form and feel it shift. It seems high quality, the stickers are very strong, its heavy for its size, its been dropped multiple times already and seems totally fine. Seems too difficult for my 3 year old, or maybe she just needs to get the hang of it, but shes tried to force the stickers the wrong way a few times and it hasnt broken. Really pretty toy, I got the 'Fire Goddess' cube and the designs go well together. Honestly it was worth the $25 just to calm that meltdown and give us a couple hours of peaceful, regulated play. If it can repeat it itll be worth its weight in gold. And Im sure Ill still enjoy shutting my brain down with it sometimes. Do recommend!

Fun, challenging, relaxing. Strong build. I love it and so does my grandson at 4 years old. Appropriate for all ages.
Yes. The OCTA is the brand's beginner and travel form: 28 magnets and 30-plus shapes, so the moves are fewer and the first wins come quickly. Ages 8 and up is the official recommendation, and adults use it the same way.
The Infinity design also exists as a DODECA and an ICOSA XL in this catalog. All Shashibo forms join through their outer magnets, so the three sizes can be clicked together into one continuous sculpture.
It contains strong magnets and small parts. The official instructions advise keeping it away from children under 3, away from sensitive electronics, and out of the hands of anyone with a pacemaker.
