Start from the closed cube, open one corner and let the magnets lead — never force a piece. Our step-by-step first-fold guide covers the crown, the star and the way back to the box.
Every Shashibo — DODECA, OCTA and ICOSA XL — connects with the others through its outer magnets, so this one will join any cube you already own.
Technicolor is the loudest voice in the Gartel series — a name that promises saturated, punchy color. Artist Laurence Gartel lends the design, and this DODECA turns it into something you can actually hold and rearrange. Fold it one way and you get a burst of color; flip it again and a completely different mix rolls into view.
Under the art sit 36 ultra strong magnets, giving each move a firm, satisfying snap without any clatter. It works as a brain break for adults and a hands-on focus aid for kids 8 and older. Line it up next to Water Color or Stained Glass from the same series and connect them to see how differently one artist's work reads across cubes.
Shashibo Technicolor is the boldest of Laurence Gartel's four cubes. Shashibo Water Color asks you to slow down, and Shashibo Blue Crystal stays cool and single-toned; Technicolor is saturated, punchy color that changes dramatically with each fold. Same DODECA, same 36 magnets and same price as the rest of the series, so it is the pick for anyone who wants the artist's most energetic look — and it sets off a calmer Gartel cube beautifully when connected.

I bought this magnetic puzzle cube as a gift, and the kid was extremely happy with it! It was a fun, unique gift and kept them entertained. The magnetic pieces make it easy to play with and enjoy. Definitely a great choice if you’re looking for a fun gift for a kid!

Just unboxed today, it arrived while my 5 year old was having a meltdown and couldnt be calmed, I started playing with it next to her and in a few minutes she calmed down to ask 'whats that?' She asked to play with it. Now been playing with it for an hour and a half. Found a shape she decided looked like a spaceship, been playing with that ONE shape for the past 20 mins. I liked playing with it, she obviously likes playing with it. The movement is smooth and the clicks are satisfying, its regulating to see the patterns form and feel it shift. It seems high quality, the stickers are very strong, its heavy for its size, its been dropped multiple times already and seems totally fine. Seems too difficult for my 3 year old, or maybe she just needs to get the hang of it, but shes tried to force the stickers the wrong way a few times and it hasnt broken. Really pretty toy, I got the 'Fire Goddess' cube and the designs go well together. Honestly it was worth the $25 just to calm that meltdown and give us a couple hours of peaceful, regulated play. If it can repeat it itll be worth its weight in gold. And Im sure Ill still enjoy shutting my brain down with it sometimes. Do recommend!

Fun, challenging, relaxing. Strong build. I love it and so does my grandson at 4 years old. Appropriate for all ages.
It is the most vivid and high-energy of the four. Blue Crystal and Water Color are calmer, and Stained Glass has a mosaic look, so Technicolor is the one that grabs attention from across a room.
Not really. You can twist freely and find shapes by feel. When you want specific forms, the official guide and the brand's free app videos help.
The official age is 8 and up. It contains small parts and magnets, so it isn't for children under 3; for school-age kids it makes a bright, hands-on focus tool.
