More about Shashibo ICOSA XL Chaos
Chaos is the boldest name in this set, and it fits a puzzle with this many possibilities. The ICOSA XL carries 72 ultra strong magnets and transforms into more than 200 configurations, revealing three unique designs along the way. The fun is in wrestling all that energy into a shape you chose, then twisting it loose again.
Despite the name, the motion is smooth and free flowing, and the printed instructions plus online tutorials keep newcomers from feeling lost. It is a strong gift for teens and adults who like a real challenge, and it is recommended for ages 8 and up. Snap it to the Chaos OCTA for a set that is controlled mayhem in two sizes.
How it compares on this shelf
Shashibo ICOSA XL Chaos is the ICOSA XL to give someone who wants a fight. Shashibo ICOSA XL Mystic Ocean, at the same price and magnet count, is pitched as a calm, wave-like wind-down; Chaos is pitched at teens and adults who enjoy wrestling a wild pattern into a chosen form. The difference lives in the artwork and the mood, not the mechanics. It also has an OCTA Chaos twin that costs a little less, for a two-size set of controlled mayhem.
