Start from the closed cube, open one corner and let the magnets lead — never force a piece. Our step-by-step first-fold guide covers the crown, the star and the way back to the box.
Every Shashibo — DODECA, OCTA and ICOSA XL — connects with the others through its outer magnets, so this one will join any cube you already own.
Spaced Out is the cube for daydreamers. Its Original Series artwork leans into a drifting, cosmic feel, so every twist looks like a small orbit changing course. Pop it open and the panels swing into stars, rings and spiky shapes, then fold neatly home again. There is no wrong move here — just curious fingers, a little patience and a pattern that keeps rearranging itself in your palm.
Under the artwork sit 36 ultra strong magnets that hold each new form in place and let this cube lock onto any other Shashibo design. That makes Spaced Out a natural opener for a collection: start with this one, then add a cube from another series and build bigger together. It works as a desk fidget between meetings or a silent classroom focus aid, and it asks for no screen at all.
Spaced Out is the Original Series cube that looks past the sky. Where Blue Planet stays close to home with calm ocean-and-sky blues, Spaced Out drifts further out with a cosmic, daydreamy mood. If you want that same space theme with a shimmer, Cosmos from the Holographic Series adds a light-catching finish; Spaced Out keeps the focus on the pattern itself. All three sit in the same price tier, so the choice comes down to how far from Earth you want your fold to travel.

I bought this magnetic puzzle cube as a gift, and the kid was extremely happy with it! It was a fun, unique gift and kept them entertained. The magnetic pieces make it easy to play with and enjoy. Definitely a great choice if you’re looking for a fun gift for a kid!

Just unboxed today, it arrived while my 5 year old was having a meltdown and couldnt be calmed, I started playing with it next to her and in a few minutes she calmed down to ask 'whats that?' She asked to play with it. Now been playing with it for an hour and a half. Found a shape she decided looked like a spaceship, been playing with that ONE shape for the past 20 mins. I liked playing with it, she obviously likes playing with it. The movement is smooth and the clicks are satisfying, its regulating to see the patterns form and feel it shift. It seems high quality, the stickers are very strong, its heavy for its size, its been dropped multiple times already and seems totally fine. Seems too difficult for my 3 year old, or maybe she just needs to get the hang of it, but shes tried to force the stickers the wrong way a few times and it hasnt broken. Really pretty toy, I got the 'Fire Goddess' cube and the designs go well together. Honestly it was worth the $25 just to calm that meltdown and give us a couple hours of peaceful, regulated play. If it can repeat it itll be worth its weight in gold. And Im sure Ill still enjoy shutting my brain down with it sometimes. Do recommend!

Fun, challenging, relaxing. Strong build. I love it and so does my grandson at 4 years old. Appropriate for all ages.
Yes. It is a single classic DODECA cube with 36 magnets and 12 hinged pieces, and the official beginner route — Cube, Crown, Star, Hive, Pyramid — works on it exactly as on any other design. The brand's free app has videos for 70+ shapes.
It does. Cosmos from the Holographic Series and Moon from the Explorer Series share the far-out theme, and every Shashibo form connects through its outer magnets, so you can join them into one larger star sculpture.
It belongs to the Original Series, which on this shelf also includes Optical Illusion, Elements, Wings, Blue Planet and White & Black. Like those, it is the standard DODECA cube, about 2.4 inches closed.
